I Am An Open Book

I am an open book
and it is an epic vol­ume

There is much that has been writ­ten
and many blank pages on which to write

I learn from the past,
I live in the present
I look for­ward to the future

I say what I feel and feel what I mean

I am not per­fect
I am not good
I am not bad

I strive for bal­ance
My many facets define me a per­son
and I am hap­py with that per­son.

because to me, that is ulti­mate­ly what it is all about

I live my live with each day new
my path­ways are many with a mul­ti­tude of detours

I make choic­es and live with my deci­sion
I make mis­takes use them to learn
I have my lines and I don’t cross them

my lines are the shapes that mold me

in a mag­nif­i­cent tapes­try of rich tex­ture and col­or

my life is an adven­ture of epic extreme
I live I breath
I love I despise
I share I care
I think I play

I learn I grow
and as I grow I shrink

in the vast unknow­ing aethyr that is uni­ver­sal life
I give from my heart
my heart receives
What is trash to one per­son
is trea­sure to anoth­er
it’s all about per­spec­tive

I stay true to me
and by being true to me
I can then be true to you
