Dear Margaret Ruth Francic,
This email contains important information about your attached complaint.
How long will it take? It may take up to 12 months to assess your complaint and tell you if we can deal with it. We will ask you for more information if we need it.
If you resolve your complaint or decide not to continue with it for any reason, please let us know.
Mail address
- If we can deal with your complaint, we give a copy of the complaint material to whoever you complained about.
- We will use australiaone@gmail.com as your “address for service” and we will send all official documents here. We will give this address for service to the person or organisation you complained about.
- If you don’t want the person you complained about to use this address for service if they need to contact you, you must give us another email or postal address.
Complaints on behalf of someone else If the complaint is about something that happened to someone else, we can’t deal with it unless they agree. If they want you to deal with the complaint for them, please ask them to complete this Appointment of Agent Form. We will still ask them to participate in the dispute resolution process.
If the person is under 18 or can’t complete the form, we will discuss this with you when we deal with the complaint.
Legal advice is not compulsory but can be helpful. It can take time to organise legal advice, so you should start the process now. Free legal advice is available from Legal Aid (Tel: 1300 65 11 88) or from one of the community legal centres listed on our website at QHRC : Making a complaint. If you want a private lawyer, the Queensland Law Society website can help you find one.
Please read more important information about your rights and responsibilities and what the QHRC will and won’t do when managing your complaint. Our website has more useful information.
