3 FILED 3 FAILED to pass submission
Inall I have submitted three applications to Qcat last week. These were completed after spending hundreds of hours preparing them and consulting the mess that is Queensland Acts and Legislation
I had one phone call back from Qcat to say they didnt think my appeal would heard as the appeal was not against a letter that listed qcat as an appeal option. I once again was stunned and said, Umm I did tell you they have not supplied us with any letter let alone this proper ones.
I found the only one I had which was before the inspection meeting and emailed it.
Every other time in the last 15 years I have used Qcat, they email you the sealed copies that day and send also via snail mail to serve that on housing.
So instead of emailing me to say it had been refused, the same state government that I am fighting one hand of, on the other hand is delaying and blocking my applications, inistead of taking my disabilities into consideration and helping me.
By not sending notice of refusal when it was refused, the failed sendbacks on their way back to me will not reach here until 9 or so days after that fail. The Government would be using this tactic to lull me into a false sense of “my case is submitted I can sit back” and find out it failed too late to lodge another request for appeal.

To all it may concern.
I am a person with disability, with complex trauma and mental health needs as a result of prolonged domestic violence and ongoing retraumatization. Housing staff are legally obligated to:
- Consult with me respectfully,
- Ensure their actions do not aggravate or ignore my condition,
- Offer reasonable adjustments or alternatives so I am not further harmed, marginalized, or made to suffer distress.
Instead, I was:
- Dismissed and patronized publicly,
- Threatened with consequences to my tenancy,
- Humiliated in a manner that has worsened my condition and made me feel unsafe in my home.
This conduct may amount to disability discrimination under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld) and the Human Rights Act 2019 (Qld).
I request that the Tribunal take this into account in any orders made, and that Housing be directed to consult with residents in a way that respects their needs, health conditions, and rights.
a form 44 will be sent through shortly
