Phone Call To Qcat

I called Qcat early in the week to find out which section my saga came under and how to file. This was that call

Qcat Lady Full of Misery and Bitterness: “Hello this is Qcat, how may I help you”. Monotone of Depressed Bordeom in Her Voice Giving Aweay The Fact She DID NOT want to Be There Doing This To Help Me Do That before I had spoken.

Me : “Hi, Magi here, I was not sure which number to press when I called because I fit under  1 2 and 3 so I will give you a quick run down and you can let me know when I finish what I need. So this happened, “starts to tell her base details abut the first episode of “Dazed Of  Our Lives”

14 second in..

Qcat Lady Full of Misery and Bitterness:  “I will cut you off there, we don’t do that here at Qcat. You will….

Me: Oh sorry, I hadn’t finished speaking.

Qcat Lady Full of Woe Misery  if you interrupt me again I am hanging up.

Me: You interrupted me

BANG CLICK line cut

Qcat Lady Full of Woe Bitterness:  Hangs Up at 1 Minute .23 seconds of connection.

Not sure what is the point of filing cases at qcat if they do not enforce their orders. You win a case against someone and they just ignore the order as it does not mean anything. There is no enforcement, no penalties, not even a negative stroke against their names. Waste of time and application fees. I want a refund for the fees paid.

Don’t bother going to QCAT.

Truth doesn’t matter. Evidence doesn’t matter.
You can lie, make defamatory claims, and manipulate the process — and the Tribunal will not only ignore it, but potentially reward it.

Today proved that laws are optional and integrity is irrelevant.
This system is broken. If you’re looking for justice, look somewhere else.

Honestly I don’t think they even looked at the documents submitted. The company that I dealt with also has a history of defrauding innocent home owners, they were even showcased on 7news for their ill tactics, yet somehow they have prevailed ! Well done QCAT what a disgrace !

What a joke
I wish I had read the reviews earlier.
A total waste of time really! The adjudicator was unbelievably rude, pre-assumed the case. It was clear that he was not interested in knowing what really happened. We got dismissed without even given a chance to speak or present the case! All we wanted is the truth to be heard and justice served sadly. Clearly this is the wrong place to be

If there was a zero this would be the score I would give them the process in how they deal with problems is so bad. I had a case a builder clearly built a deck for me. I supplied my bank statements to prove he did work on this renovation he was directed to rectified the defective work. Then the builder then disputed the building inspectors decision. He said he didn’t do the work it was for something else was hid dispute. The qbcc did not insist on the builder providing proper invoices to specify what the payments where for or a copy of the contract for the qbcc to look at the contract. Unfortunately I don’t have a copy of the contract the work is his work & the defective work leaking into my house a roof top deck. They say they believe him even though he has supplied no evidence to support his case except a excel sheet that could fudge anything. It’s so frustrating how builders get away with this. No wonder by qbcc have such low rating not from the front desk but the people who over turn the building inspector assessment it’s so wrong. They are a complete waste of time.

QCAT is all about time waste and money. Our real estate Eternal Glean Asset Management PTY LTD submitted fake receipts of the repairs and still after knowing all this the judgement was made in their favour by the judge ETEARDLEY , As per the wording of the judge our case seems to be nonsense to him. The judge can’t even open a word file in the PC and made all the decisions in favour of the property management.

I would suggest people not to waste time on this process. It’s all about time waste and at the last the realestate will get the money.

Qcat is a big waste of time the adjudicator was very rude and did not want to listen to me am the Landlord and the tenant has not paid rent for 3 months and she was told not pay anything I gave this rude adjudicator rent ledger and he started mocking me that this is not how a ledger looks like I was in QCAT with the same ledger in September wanting warrant of possession to take place which was granted. I tried to explain my self but he couldn’t listen. Karma will get you rude adjudicator for letting someone to scam me and walk free with my money go rot in Helll… very unprofessional

Got a notice from QCAT in my email to pay an outstanding bill not related to me. Didn’t even know I had to appear. I have had no notice to state there was a hearing back in July. It’s now November. I am writing to the new Attorney General and the Ombudsmen about QCAT’s unethical and outdated processes. I never had notice to appear and the debt is not related to me. Seems anyone can use QCAT to pursue a debt without proof. No due dilligence here. In Qld you are guilty until proven innocent. Reading through their reviews, I’m not alone. The entire QCAT needs a flush out. Such a corrupt process that is not fair, nor just. I do not owe this debt and will refer it to the A.G

QCAT is an empty facade of the Australian Court system. Pretends to relieve the “full” licenced courts, but instead takes time from people’s life without any results. Smallest case goes on years, pointless “decision” which laughed by respondents, they not even bother to comply.

The phone menu takes you on long and confusing journeys that often result in the line hanging up. If you do manage to land in the right place you will be waiting a long time to speak with someone. Also, the pdf forms are poorly designed and far more difficult to fill out than they need to be.

It is on the cusp of unfathomable as to how the QCAT process can be so clunky, near encouraging people to screw others over in the knowledge that it will be countless months before a case is heard let alone resolved. An absolute circus.

Extremely biased in favor of the applicant. Any evidences provided are overlooked by the adjudicator. Property Agents can make fake claims and invoices and without any evidences they get awarded the decision in their favour.
Certainly not a place where you can expect a fair decision.
